– Exploring Regional Transportation Integration & Optimal Operation Solutions

On November 5, 2018, General Secretary Xi Jinping announced at the first China International Import Expo that he will support the regional integration of the Yangtze River Delta and its rise to a national strategy. Alongside the development of the “Belt and Road”, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei municipal integration, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area cooperation, these initiatives will work with each other to harness the potential of China’s evolution. As an important foundation for promoting the development of high-quality regional clusters, “transport integration” is opening up a new era of comprehensive development.

In the Yangtze River Delta, which has the densest high-speed rail network, transportation integration has extended from the “aorta” of high-speed rail and highways to the “capillaries” inside the city. With the introduction of a series of documents such as the “Overall Plan for the Demonstration Zone of Ecological and Green Integrated Development in the Yangtze River Delta” and the “Outline of the Regional Integration Development Plan for the Yangtze River Delta”, the development of rail transit as a backbone network has ushered in important opportunities for the times.

The 2020 CIRC Conference will discuss the current status of the Yangtze River Delta’s urban (suburban) railway development plan on the basis of last year, and explore how to coordinate with the national railway, intercity railway and urban rail transit, and integrate development with a view to adopting “multi-level, multi-mode, multi-standard” solutions. The construction of rail transit systems provide support for the development of metropolitan areas and urban agglomerations.

At the same time, 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of China’s subway operation, and 40 of our cities have now entered the “metro era”. The development of “high quality” operations is an urgent issue facing rail transit operators in various cities. With operational capabilities undergoing continuous improvement through the application and development of various technologies, more and more industry hotspots are being paid attention to by the industry.

The 2020 conference theme “Exploring Regional Transportation Integration & Optimal Operation Solutions” will focus on the two keywords of “Integration” and “Optimal”, and plans to host more than 10 platforms covering various themed forums as well as inspection activities to explore transportation’s technological progress and innovation with everyone in the industry.
